Privacy Policy

Account details: your email address, an optional display name, and a password (which we store only as a secure hash, never in plain text). If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and a Google account identifier instead of a password.

Birth details: the date, time, and place of birth you enter to generate your astrological charts. Because these details identify you, we encrypt your birth date, time, and location before storing them. The time of birth is optional.

Onboarding answers: the short questionnaire you complete to personalize your experience.

Other people's details: if you save a friend's or partner's birth details to compare charts, we store those details (encrypted) under your account. Only add another person's information if you are entitled to share it; you are responsible for having their permission.

Usage and analytics: we use PostHog to understand how the app is used — for example, pages viewed and features used — so we can improve it. This involves cookies and similar technologies.

Essential cookies: we use signed, HTTP-only cookies to keep you signed in. These are necessary for the service to work.

Device and technical data: standard information such as your browser type and approximate region.

Push notifications: if you enable them, we store the technical subscription needed to send notifications to your device. You can disable them at any time in your browser or device settings.

Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Your card details are entered directly with Stripe and are never seen or stored by us. We keep only the identifiers Stripe returns (such as your customer and subscription IDs) and your plan status.

To provide the service: calculate your charts, generate daily readings and interpretations, and personalize what you see.

To operate your account: sign-in, subscription management, and transactional emails such as password resets and receipts.

To improve Dania: understand usage, fix problems, and develop new features.

We share information only with the providers that help us run Dania, under agreements that limit their use of it: Stripe (payments), Supabase (database), Railway and Vercel (hosting), PostHog (analytics), Resend (email), and Google (sign-in, if you use it).

We use third-party artificial-intelligence providers to help generate astrological interpretations. We aim to limit the personal information involved in this process.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Dania or others.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If this ever changes, we will update this policy and provide the choices the law requires.

Dania is operated for users in the United States and Latin America, and several of our providers process data in the United States. By using Dania, you understand that your information may be processed there and in other countries where our providers operate.

We encrypt sensitive birth details at rest, store passwords only as secure hashes, and use signed, HTTP-only session cookies. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete your account from your profile at any time; doing so removes your associated data, including your birth details, saved people, and onboarding answers.

Depending on where you live, you have rights over your personal information, including to: know what we hold about you and access it; correct it; delete it; obtain a copy in a portable form; object to or restrict certain processing; and, where we rely on consent, withdraw that consent. You will not be treated differently for exercising these rights.

You can access and update much of your information in the app, and delete your account from your profile. For any other request, contact us at hola@daniaastrology.com and we will respond within the time the law requires. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

Dania is intended for adults and is not directed to children. You must be at least 18 years old to use Dania. We do not knowingly collect information from children; if you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date above, and for significant changes we will provide a more prominent notice by email or in the app.
